There is not greater job than one that inspires a young child to fall in love with learning. The joy we all experience when we see a child’s face light up with awareness and knowledge is priceless. And as teachers and parents we get to do this everyday! In the early years we have the precious responsibility of taking children’s innate curiosity and love of learning and provide them with the setting, materials and interactions that will grow them into life-long learners. At Aquatic we are striving to create a balanced mix of activities and materials that bring out the natural learner in each child. We focus on their own learning styles and abilities and support their growth with caring and creative student/teacher interactions.
Using what we know from Brain Research we are developing programs that utilizes the crucial “First 2000 Days” (birth to 5) of a young child’s life to create strong synaptic connections in the brain This is the time to “use it or lose it” as the brain after this time will start a slow and natural “pruning” process of the brain cells that have not been stimulated and connected. We can safely say that the learning we provide for children at this age will last them a lifetime.
As we prepare for our fun time with children, we invite you to think about your own learning process. Consider these questions. How do you feel about learning? Who was your best teacher and why? Who was your worst teacher and why? How do you learn best? What are your challenges? And most importantly…Why do we teach children at this young age? We look forward to sharing with each of you our joy of learning and teaching. We promise you fun and informative sessions together. I hope your children are ready to “play” with us... and “Learning through Play” !
